Game Store Kenya (“we”, “us”) runs this website. This page explains what personal information we collect when you use it, why we collect it, and what your rights are. We’ve written it in plain English on purpose — if anything is unclear, ask us on WhatsApp at +254 706 414 113.
When you place an order: your name, phone number, email address, billing and delivery address, what you ordered, and your IP address. We need these to process, deliver, and support your order.
When you create an account: your email address, a username, and a password (stored encrypted — we never see it). We send a verification email to confirm the address is yours. If you sign in with Facebook, Facebook shares your name, email address, and profile ID with us.
When you pay: payments are processed by Pesapal. Your M-Pesa or card details go directly to Pesapal — they never touch our servers. We only receive and keep the transaction reference, amount, and payment status.
When you subscribe to our emails: your email address, stored with our email provider Brevo. We only send marketing email to people who opted in, and every email has an unsubscribe link that works.
Cookies: we use the cookies WordPress and WooCommerce need to work — keeping you logged in, remembering your cart, and keeping checkout secure. We do not run third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
That’s the whole list. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
Order records are kept as long as Kenyan tax and accounting law requires. Your account stays until you ask us to delete it. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe.
Under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019 you can ask us to:
To exercise any of these, WhatsApp +254 706 414 113 or email [email protected]. We’ll respond within 7 days. If you’re not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
The site runs over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and payment details are handled entirely by Pesapal. No system is perfect, but if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Commissioner as the law requires.
If we change how we handle your data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
